Scholarship Summary:  This scholarship is designed to provide educational funds for Salvation Army soldiers of the Metropolitan Division who are involved in an accredited college medical program. Scholarships are available for studies of all undergraduate and master’s level graduate medical studies. Scholarships will be awarded by the Metropolitan Scholarship Committee by end of June, 2022.  Applications are DUE by June 3, 2022! Applications will not be accepted after this date. Scholarships Available: Individuals may apply for scholarships in subsequent years, but awards are not guaranteed. No scholarships are made retroactively for past schooling expenses. Funds are limited, and priority will be given to those earning their first degree.   Application Procedures: 1) Applications are completed on submittable by June 3, 2022 2) Applicants must have CO recommendation ad 2 references by June 3, 2022 3) The Metropolitan Scholarship Committee reviews all applications & recommends the awards.  4) The Divisional Finance Board approves all scholarship applications & authorizes funding.  5) Scholarship funds are paid to each recipient in August 2021.  Applications will not be accepted after June 3, 2022 Applicants must: Be a soldier of a Metropolitan Corps  Be an actively involved in Corps and/or community leadership or volunteer service within the last 12 months  Be a full time undergraduate/graduate student at an accredited college/university   Be actively pursuing a degree related to the medical field  Please submit the following by June 3, 2022 to ensure that your application is reviewed: Medical Scholarship Program Application  CO recommendation  2 Reference Forms  250-500 word essay  Grade transcript (Freshman do not need to submit)  Proof of registration/acceptance (examples: acceptance letter, copy of fall class schedule
